The founder, Maryam, is a passionate interior enthusiast who moved to Canada from England for love. This move gave birth to several new beginnings, including MATOLI.
The name is a combination of important people in Maryam's life. Her love for decorating started early as she styled her parents' home and eventually her own. Since then, MATOLI has proudly designed and styled numerous other homes. With each property, Maryam aimed to leave a lasting impression, to create a space that makes her clients happy.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Maryam's father, who has since passed, nicknamed her "Tole Tole" in her native Yoruba language, meaning "home arranger." The double emphasis on the nickname pushed and indicated her destined path in this field.
From a young age, Maryam knew that nothing brought her more joy than designing and styling beautiful homes. This passion was ingrained in her and she is confident that her father would be proud to see her pursuing and fulfilling her dream.
